“WITH LIZ'S CELLO, TISSUES AND EMOTIONAL RELEASES CAN ACCELERATE THE HEALING PROCESS UP TO THREE TIMES FASTER ESPECIALLY WHILE WORKING TOGETHER WITH OTHER MODALITIES.” JOHN E. UPLEDGER, DO, OMM, FOUNDED CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY AND THE UPLEDGER INSTITUTE, INC.
"the central nervous system-- mirrors the strings of the cello, so that the resonance of the vibrations physically manifests, gliding up and down the person's whole body, taking the therapist's body along with it, in a dancer type of movement."
"ELIZABETH BYRD'S Healing Cello Tonal and Vibration Therapy amplifies the depth of the self-corrective, healing process." On a subtle level, Cello Therapy amplifies the depth of the self-corrective, healing process. It non intrusively brings to the surface deeply stored traumatic memories. With her cello "Chester", Ms. Byrd easily and smoothly glides past the over!y self-critical, inhibited cerebral cortex of the frontal lobe. Patients perceive Cello Therapy as non threatening. Most need very little verbal directions about "what's expected" of them. They Simply lie down and enjoy the sounds and music, without cognitively analyzing, "working", or trying hard to receive therapy. I feel that of all the musical instruments, the cello approximates most close!y to the size of a human body. Sometimes, it is almost as if the patients body--and in particular, the central nervous system-- mirrors the strings of the cello, so that the resonance of the vibrations physically manifests, gliding up and down the person's whole body, taking the therapist's body along with it, in a dancer type of movement. It is a most unusual occurrence to witness and experience. As a therapist, I feel as if I've become a musician myself and am actually "playing the instrument" of the patient's body. (This is a very viscerally, tangible experience.) By having Liz join a therapeutic session, concurrent capacity to delve into structural systems, such as blood, bone, or brain stem, and etheric systems, such as past life hoods. Genetic imprints on DNA, or retrieving a lost soul from an out-of-body, near death experience, is greatly heightened. The resonance she achieves is somehow able to hold multiple levels of subtle energies in the same space-time continuum. Sometimes, after these intense!y, multidimensional journeys, I fee! as if my brain has been scrambled and personally, I'm in a slight altered reality, but the patient feels really great and significantly changed! It's pretty cool. What I enjoy about conjoining our therapies is the breadth of Liz's range. She has demonstrated time again, a trustworthy consistency of accuracy, precision and clarity of her diagnostic abilities. Yet, it is all done with uncanny intuition and playfulness. Open your being to her sounds and vibration; let it take you on an intimate journey into the depth of your soul and being. JUNE 2002 Barbara Chang, CM.T. "The cello sessions challenge and inspire me, and brings me to new levels in my healership."
Elizabeth Byrd and I have been working together with clients at the Center for Health and Healing for the past 2 years. Our center is one of the first integrative medical centers in the United States that is affiliated with a major teaching Hospital. The Center for Health and Healing offers a full range of services including integrative approaches to internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics as well as traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture, homeopathy, nutrition, chiropractic and cranial sacral therapy, and mind-body medicine. I am one of the first chiropractors to be credentialed by a major teaching hospital. Our Center is committed to bringing forth the best integrative healing arts. My work with Liz Byrd has been an amazing facet of my work at the Center. Combining chiropractic and cranial sacral therapy with the cello, we create a sacred space for patients to access profound parts of themselves and a deep source of healing. Sometimes the sessions are more anatomically oriented, perhaps focusing on an old injury, bone degeneration, or muscle injury. Some sessions seem to facilitate emotional well-being and deep relaxation. Most sessions weave together a mix of both. Karen Erickson, D.C.
